Ikegami Intros HC-HD300 Docking-Style Studio Camera

Ready for the studio or field, the HC-HD300 features a newly-developed 1/3-inch 3-CMOS optical block design, in keeping with the outstanding imagery and same rugged construction of the broadcast-ready Unicam HD line

Ikegami, the world-leading manufacturer of advanced HD cameras and production equipment for TV broadcasters, networks, and other HD content creators, will be exhibiting advanced systems at Content and Communications World 2014 (CCW). CCW is being held November 12-13 at the Javits Convention Center, NYC.

This year's CCW is the first showing of the HC-HD300 in New York City, a highly flexible, docking style camera that represents Ikegami's most affordable HD studio camera system. Ready for the studio or field, it features a newly-developed 1/3-inch 3-CMOS optical block design, in keeping with the outstanding imagery and same rugged construction of the broadcast-ready Unicam HD line.

Ideal for broadcast TV stations, as well as, educational, corporate and house of worship applications, the highly versatile Ikegami HC-HD300 also works in conjunction with a newly developed camera control system consisting of the FA-300 Fiber Adapter and BSF-300 Base Station, utilizing OpticalCON DUO connectors for its fiber camera cable connection.

Other key features of the Ikegami HC-HD300 is a high performance sensor block with F10 sensitivity, 58dB SNR, and 1000TVL resolution, Native 1920 x1080 HD resolution, Multi-Video format 1080i, 720p, 480i (NTSC), 576i (PAL) Switchable; Unique Quick EZ Focus (focus assist) function, and Built-in Automatic Lens Aberration Correction function.

The HDK-95C HD portable digital camera is a highly flexible system in Ikegami's Unicam HD line. Equipped with Native multi-format 2.5 million pixel, 2/3 inch CMOS sensors, the HDK-95C has an upgrade path to 24p and 3G formats, including 1080/60p and 4:4:4 24p. Providing end-to-end digital processing, it features a low-profile docking camera head for fiber, triax, or wireless applications.

Both Unicam HD cameras on display at CCW feature CMOS sensors, the sensor technology which is now meeting and exceeding the performance of CCDs in sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, and resolution. They continue to offer low power consumption, no vertical smear, and a high degree of format flexibility. With extensive ongoing research and development in this technology, the adoption of CMOS for broadcast camera use is now the trend.

Many of Ikegami's outstanding studio monitors will be on exhibit, highlighted by the HEM-2570W 25-inch full HD OLED monitor. Representing Ikegami's next generation Grade-1 monitors, with high performance OLED panels, the HEM series ensures ideal reference monitoring for a wide range of outside and studio production applications. Highlights include support of 10 patterns x 10 scenes for user markers, a USB terminal for support of functions including auto setup, saving an image, full-screen capturing and mouse connection for menu navigation. In addition, audio functions such as speakers and headphone terminal are provided.

Also at CCW will be Ikegami's HLM-1751WR 17-inch full HD LCD color monitor. It employs a 17-inch full HD LED backlight panel (1920x1080) with wide critical view angle, excellent brightness and contrast, fast response time, and faithful color reproduction. Supporting multi-format SDI input, also 3G-SDI, DVI-D and VBS inputs as standard, the HLM-1751WR also achieves space-saving, light weight, and low power consumption.
