Sharon Metz is the vice president, vertical marketing with Macrovision Solutions Corporation. Sharon oversees strategic and product marketing for Macrovision's entertainment metadata solutions and interactive program guides (IPG) for cable service providers in the US, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. Sharon joined Macrovision with the acquisition of Gemstar - TV Guide. At Gemstar - TV Guide, Sharon lead strategic marketing and national accounts sales, with responsibility for strategic marketing, affiliate marketing and market launch of Gemstar's interactive program guides for cable, TV Guide Network On Demand, TV Guide Select an iTV guidance application on Dish, and TVG Interactive Horseracing Network which include advanced interactive applications enabling in-home account wagering in select states. Sharon is a 25+ year veteran of the cable industry, a member of Women In Cable & Telecommunications, Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, and the CTAM Advanced Cable Solutions Consortium.
