Scott Grizzle
Scott Grizzle
ex-Head of Unified Communications
IBM
Scott Grizzle spent most of his career selling video platforms, then three years at IBM buying one. He started at SeminarSource.com, one of five major companies in the early days of streaming, running off encoding gear he built himself, then spent four years at LSI writing standards and workflows still used across the industry and delivering a $10 million Netflix online video launch. At DVEO he built a streaming product line from zero to more than $20 million a year, sold almost entirely through partners. At IBM's Watson Media unit he grew the partner business fivefold to 60 percent of the business unit's revenue, then moved into IBM's CIO office and had to run what he used to sell: unified communications and AI for 300,000 employees on a $100 million budget, consolidating Webex and BlueJeans onto Microsoft Teams and taking Copilot, Slack AI and Box AI from pilot into production as IBM's Client Zero for Copilot. That's the chapter where he found out which vendor promises survive a real deployment and which ones only survive the slide. He now advises on partnerships, go-to-market strategy, and AI adoption in streaming and enterprise communications at thegrizzle.net
