Virage Announces Product Enhancements

Virage (www.virage.com), a provider of video management and publishing solutions, has announced the release of the next generation of SmartEncode, its video encoding and indexing product.

The SmartEncode update allows for a simultaneous, real-time process for controlling, automating and integrating the workflow for transforming video. The enhancements include VideoLogger 5.0, which allows for simultaneous encoding and indexing, Control Center 2.0, which controls and automates the process, and Software Developer Kit 5.0, an extended open architecture for custom integration.

Additionally, VideoLogger 5.0 offers the capability to be configured as a Windows Service, which creates a tighter integration with the operating system for higher levels of reliability and scalability.
