PayForView.com To Launch in April

PayForView (http://www.payforview.com) announced that it will launch its pay per view movie streaming site in mid-April.

The site, which has been under development since PayForView.com signed a licensing and services agreement with sofTV.net (formally InGenius Multimedia) in July of 1999, will provide live and archived shows and promos.

The company plans to use a synchronized media player window to show related elements as the media plays. PayForView.com's senior consultant Sid Amira said this new, first stage site will be an indication of things to come."This interface is one of the most interesting presentation platforms I've seen, and its application for both the pre and post convergence viewer is extremely compelling", said Amira. "The parallel synchronized content areas coupled with the unique scheduling ability of the sofTV MediaSuite technology makes for a rich entertainment experience."

"As in a live television broadcast, we can schedule specific content to appear at specific times during the streaming video run. When we are doing a live event, we will schedule content on the fly. This scheduling ability is both flexible and extremely efficient", said Marc Pitcher, president.

sofTV.net (http://www.softtv.net) is a provider of streaming media authoring and web page synchronization software. Its tools support both Windows Media and Real Networks' technologies.
