Arbitron Promotes Bill Rose to Vice President and

Arbitron (http://www.arbitron.com) announced the promotion of Bill Rose to vice president and general manager of Arbitron Internet Information Services (formerly called Arbitron NewMedia).

Rose will oversee all Arbitron Internet initiatives including InfoStream, their Webcast ratings service; and SiteScore, an online survey for measuring the effectiveness and appeal of Web sites.

Previously, Rose has served as vice president, Marketing, Radio Station Services, since January 1998. He joined Arbitron in 1981 in the San Francisco Radio Station Sales division where he remained through 1986.

"In his role as Arbitron's vice president of Marketing for radio, Bill Rose has contributed significantly to the success of Arbitron and to the satisfaction of our customers," said Pierre Bouvard, executive vice president, World Wide Media Information Services. "He has led the team that brought PD Advantage to the market, overseen the enhancement and improvement of our software services including Arbitrends, MapMAKER and Maximi$er, and has played a key role coordinating the introduction of Tapscan and its many enhancements. I know he will bring the same leadership and energy to our Internet initiatives."
