As vice president of product management, John Ellis is responsible for leading ValueClick Media’s international product strategy and development and the ongoing performance of its brand marketing and direct response display advertising platform. Mr. Ellis joined ValueClick in October of 2005 through its acquisition of Fastclick.
   
Mr. Ellis joined Fastclick in June of 2004, where he served as vice president of marketing and product management, overseeing Fastclick’s product and marketing initiatives, including strategy, development, and marketing communications.

Prior to joining Fastclick, Mr. Ellis spent nearly two years as senior director of market strategy and business development at Overture, where he led their market entry into local search until Overture was acquired by Yahoo! in July, 2003.

Prior to Overture, Mr. Ellis spent nearly four years building EarthLink’s broadband business, where he served as vice president of brand marketing and director of broadband products. While at EarthLink, he led the operational rollout of its first DSL partnership, expanded the company’s high-speed access product lines, and launched the industry’s first home networking solution.

Before joining EarthLink, Mr. Ellis held several management positions in operations and product management at Kinko’s, where he worked for nine years. During his tenure at Kinko’s he was responsible for its Computer Services business segment, including product and operational strategy for its North American retail locations.

Mr. Ellis holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Ohio State University.
