Howard Homonoff

Howard B. Homonoff is Program Director for the Paul F. Harron Graduate Program in Television Management. He previously taught as an adjunct Associate Professor in the program, and in addition lectures at Columbia Business School (where he affiliated with the Columbia Institute on Tele-Information) and New School University. He is also a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) Summit and the Practicing Law Institute on Cable Television Law, and serves as a member of the Telecommunications Committee of The Association of the Bar for the City of New York. In the last several years, Howard founded and continues to run a consulting firm, Homonoff Media Group LLC, which provides strategic dealmaking, business development and legal services to companies in the media business such as Verizon in their new FiOS video business; several startup programming networks, such as Alpha Mom TV and American Desi, the first English-language network aimed at South Asian-Americans, and the National Cable Telecommunications Association.

Howard's business experience has included serving as Vice President and General Manager of CNBC Strategic Ventures, where he led CNBC's Internet-based streaming video syndication business and developed new business areas such as digital cable and satellite radio; as General Counsel of NBC Cable Networks, where managed strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Dow Jones, and CBS; and as Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs at Continental Cablevision, where he served as a senior counselor to executives across all operational areas. Howard's earlier experience included serving as Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance and as a legislative aide to Representative Edward J. Markey, positions in which Howard led successful efforts in Congress to pass major securities and telecommunications legislation.

Howard is a graduate of Cornell University with a BA in Government with Distinction in all Subjects, and received his JD degree from New York University School of Law.
