Orban / CRL Appoints Manager of New Product Marketing

Glenn K. Schulke has been named Orban / CRL's Manager of New Product Marketing. He will work to promote the sale of new Orban / CRL products, including the Optimod-PC® 1100 for Streaming Media Applications, Opticodecs®, and Audicy 2®.
Tempe, AZ (6/18/2003) -

Tempe, Ariz., June 18 - Glenn K. Schulke has been named Orban / CRL's Manager of New Product Marketing. He will work to promote the sale of new Orban / CRL products, including the Optimod-PC? 1100 for Streaming Media Applications, Opticodecs?, and Audicy 2?.

Schulke was formerly the president and CEO of Open Technologies, Inc. based in Tempe, Ariz. The firm was a distributor and systems integrator for networking and communications product for Unix and Linux based systems and was a leading provider of automated data collection and document management systems. Schulke is also the co-founder, developer and managing director of PDVX (Patient Doctor Voice Exchange), a physician/patient voice processing based contact management software. Earlier, Schulke founded Unizone, a Unix and Linux products distribution and systems integration firm. In his various positions, Schulke has performed consulting and integration services for several major companies, including GE Medical Systems, Intel, Premier Radio Networks, Texas Instruments and America West Airlines.

Schulke is a published author and has written a variety of technical and non-technical articles for various international trade publications over his career and has served on the boards of directors of industry associations and other technology companies. He also has previously taught Unix system administration at the college level. In 2000, he was selected and served on the Tempe, Ariz. Mayor's Business Roundtable assisting the Mayor and city officials in guiding the City of Tempe in developing a world-class technology infrastructure to attract and keep high technology companies to headquarter in Tempe.

Schulke holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Arizona State University in Business (1981) specializing in technology marketing. As the founder and President of the Southwest!UniForum, UNIX user's group Schulke ran the affiliate chapter of the UNIX User's group, UniForum International's southwestern United States affiliate chapter for almost 10 years and he was the first to serve as affiliate advisor to UniForum International's board.

He is a longtime active supporter of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Valley and has been involved in several fund raising activities for charitable organizations for abused/displaced children. Schulke is single, has a 10-year-old daughter and is a licensed pilot, avid road bicyclist, snow skier and racing enthusiast.
