CNN’s Moneyline Webcast Uses Anystream for Streaming Ad Insertion

Anystream (www.anystream.com) has announced that CNN will be using its streaming ad insertion capabilities for its webcast of Lou Dobb's Moneyline, which will be broadcast simultaneously over the network and the Web. Anystream unveiled its ad insertion solution at the NAB show in April.

Anystream states that its solution enables non-buffered streaming ad insertion that takes place in real-time while the stream itself is being created from the live source input. Anystream also adds that the results of its product can be seen by tuning into the CNN show and corresponding webcasts on CNN.com or CNNfn.com this evening at 6:30 EST. The viewers should see different ads running on television and the Web.

"This is the kind of practical, targeted application that enables broadcasters to devise appealing business models for monetizing their streaming assets," said Charles Theiss, senior vice president of sales and operations for CNN Interactive. "With real-time streaming ad insertion, all CNN simulcasts now can have twice the potential sponsors, and reach an entirely different audience demographic."

"Anystream's Agility architecture delivers clients like CNN the flexibility and power to leverage their online programming in new and creative ways," said Geoff Allen, president and CEO of Anystream.
