Joe Franzetta is the Head of Sports for Roku Media. He oversees all strategic partnerships, initiatives and go-to-market executions for the company’s Sports offering, both for The Roku Channel and the overall Roku platform. As the inaugural leader of Roku’s Sports team, Joe has played a key role in rapidly expanding Roku’s sports offering. He oversaw the launch of Roku’s Sports Zone, and subsequent branded league zone experiences, which created a central, easy to navigate destination for viewers to discover and engage live and on-demand sports content. Joe also spearheaded Roku’s entrance into sports programming, forging Roku’s first live sports rights deal with Formula E, bringing the Emmy-nominated sports talk and entertainment program The Rich Eisen Show exclusively to The Roku Channel, and working in lockstep with the Roku Originals team to create original sports programming with some of the most distinguished leagues in professional sports including the NFL, WWE and UFC.  

 

Joe has extensive experience launching and leading new businesses, growing existing businesses, creating win-win partnerships, and building high-performing teams. Prior to joining Roku, Joe held numerous senior-level positions in both media and technology businesses, most recently as Vice President of Rights and Business Relationships at Fox Sports. He holds a bachelor's degree from Allegheny College and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
