Bertrand Darnault is a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Hulu, responsible for the team that builds and scales the end-to-end video platform for Hulu’s live TV service and on-demand content. As the lead of this team, Bert played a critical role in the launch of Hulu’s live TV service by overseeing the creation of our live video pipeline. With over ten years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, he started his career at SmartJog, a French company that pioneered secure content delivery from US studios to international broadcasters. Bert has built video platforms on both self-hosted and cloud-based infrastructure, and is proficient in the areas of storage, transcoding, packaging and delivery. Bert holds a Computer Science degree from the École Pour l’Informatique et les Techniques Avancées (EPITA), where he specialized in network and systems.
