Louise is the Launch Director and General Manager of BBC Select, a brand new subscription streaming service from BBC Studios – the commercial arm of the BBC. With a focus on culture, politics and ideas, the service is aimed at the independent thinkers of the world and will launch in the US and Canada in February 2021. Prior to spearheading BBC Select, Louise was responsible for the commercial success of BBC Studios’ linear channels and digital offerings across Africa & CEE as SVP Branded Services. She has spent several years as Director of Business Development & Strategy for BBC Studios’ ex-US/UK distribution business, where she played a central role in reshaping the BBC’s international channels portfolio, the digital evolution of its brands and building BBC Studios’ distribution & top customer strategy.

Louise is a Chartered Accountant and is originally from Cape Town in South Africa. She completed her professional training at Deloitte South Africa before moving to the UK in 2009. She has been at BBC Studios for 11 years. Having started in Finance, she has since held roles in Business Development, Strategy, Regional Leadership and General Management.
