Jeff is a recognized video processing expert with over twenty years in the industry. He has made strong contributions to digital video product development and standardization activities including MPEG2, H.264, HD-DVD and BD. Prior to igolgi, Jeff was General Manager of a Corporate Research Laboratory for Thomson Inc in Princeton, NJ. He had additional responsibility as Worldwide Director of Compression activities in Thomson leading over a team of 80 researchers. Jeff was the lead contributor to the development of the industry’s first direct broadcast satellite video decoder for DirecTV. He also led several key developments for Thomson including the first HDTV decoder and DVD player. Jeff has 33 issued US patents and over 50 pending applications. He has a BSEE from Ohio University and an MS from Purdue University.
