Michael Dale is the Chief Technology Officer at Caffeine.tv; a growing live direct to consumer streaming platform reaching 60+ million users monthly building a home for live sports and community across several live competition content verticals serving millions of low latency live streams a day.   
Previously, he lead Engineering at Crunchyroll and scaled it from a startup to a top 10 OTT service with now over 10 million subscribers. He ran many innovative OTT programs around cost optimization, unified OTT app architecture, edge computing, JIT packaging & SSAI, AI upscaling, video telemetry, and cross-coordinated CDN initiatives with ATT & WarnerMedia. 
At Wikipedia he worked with W3C, Mozilla, and Open Video Alliance on early web video standardization efforts. He has co-organized FOMS for 13+ years which helps bring together major media and tech companies around online video software standards and is on the StreamTV Advisory Board.
At Kaltura a B2B Video platform he Product for the media vertical pioneered HTML5 video adoption for media customers around OTT strategy, advertising, content protection, and accessibility for some of the world's largest content publishers and service operators.
