Vimeo and OneFifty Partner to Bring GOLDBRICKS IN BLOOM to Audiences Worldwide

Vimeo and OneFifty have partnered to bring Danny Sangra’s GOLDBRICKS IN BLOOM to audiences worldwide (  The film will be available starting today on VOD exclusively on Vimeo ($2.99 to rent and $6.99 to buy) and also kicks off its theatrical run at the Arena Cinelounge Hollywood theater in Los Angeles for one week. The release of GOLDBRICKS IN BLOOM is the first collaboration between Vimeo and OneFifty, a Time Warner Inc. initiative that invests in unique artists who are taking creative risks to develop content.

The debut feature from Sangra, GOLDBRICKS IN BLOOM is a social satire that explores what it means to be an artist today by interweaving the story of a self-obsessed group of disenchanted young creatives with the mythic rise and fall of a New York painter. The film features a cast of exciting talent including Zosia Mamet (“Girls”), Leo Fitzpatrick (KIDS), Tavi Gevinson (ENOUGH SAID), Evan Jonigkeit (WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT), Jake Hoffman (THE WOLF OF WALL STREET), Waris Ahluwalia (THE DARJEELING LIMITED), and Margaret Clunie (“A Young Doctor’s Notebook”).

“Danny is an unapologetic artist who is unafraid to challenge the conventions of his craft, so this project was an obvious choice for us to invest in at OneFifty,” says Tamir Muhammad, OneFifty’s Director of Content & Artist Development. “OneFifty and Vimeo recognized Sangra’s distinct and comedic voice and saw the importance of making this film accessible to audiences everywhere --and we look forward to further collaborations with Vimeo in the future.”

Over the past six years Sangra has made over 30 short films, many of which are interconnected; with GOLDBRICKS IN BLOOM, many of his previously explored characters collide. Sangra has a rich history with Vimeo, having three of his shorts (“A Fistful of Wolves,” “No F****** Room 427,” and “Une Incroyable Excuse”) honored as Staff Picks.

A Central St. Martin’s graduate and an established artist and designer from the UK, Sangra has also written and directed films for brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Diesel, Metallica and Balenciaga. As an artist and designer he has exhibited in London, Europe, Tokyo and the U.S. Collaborating with clients such as Sony, Samsung, BBC, Louis Vuitton and Nike.
