VidCon Unveils Entertainment Industry Leaders and Major Brands Confirmed for Tenth Annual VidCon US

Executives from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, Complex, and WWE among Luminaries Presenting at the World’s Premier Online Video Conference

LOS ANGELES, CA(21 May 2019)

VidCon, the world’s largest celebration of digital creators and online video, today announced top executives from YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, Snap, TikTok, LinkedIn, Complex Media, World Wrestling Entertainment, Baidu and more will participate at the tenth annual VidCon US 10th on July 10-13, 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

VidCon US also announced YouTube is confirmed to return as the title sponsor, with YouTube’s Neal Mohan, Chief Product Officer, presenting the Industry Creator Keynote on July 11.

In addition to title sponsor YouTube, VidCon has become an annual destination for each of the major global social media platforms to present large activations designed to engage the online video community. The tenth annual VidCon US will see the return of activations from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, and Twitch, with Baidu presenting for the first time. Additional entertainment brands engaging audiences this summer include Univision, Fullscreen, Studio71, Viacom Digital Studios.  

More than 150 speakers will participate on this year’s Industry Track, which focuses on the following core themes: Creative Monetization and Innovation; Data and Performance; Where Influencer Marketing is Going; AR VR and Immersive Technologies; Engaging and Building Global Communities in a Multiplatform World; and The Continuum Between "Online Video" and Traditional Media.

VidCon US’s 2019 full agenda is now live on - Programming will feature keynotes, Fireside Chats, panels, workshops, and Q&As with speakers such as:

Executives will join leading digital talent confirmed to attend VidCon US including VidCon Founders Hank Green and John Green, Hannah Hart, Poppy, Rickey Thompson, The Try Guys, Kandee Johnson, Miles Jai, and many more. The full line up can be seen here.

Viacom’s Awesomeness will return to host the Awesomeness Festival, featuring performances on the outdoor AwesomenessTV Festival Stage and the new AwesomenessTV + Invisalign Rainbow Slide. Global brand partners confirmed to showcase experiential activations at the Awesomeness Festival include Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Canon and the Invisalign brand. Sister brands Nickelodeon and MTV will also return to VidCon US’s Expo Floor with engaging, social-media ready activities and experiences. Additional global brand partners include Mars Inc., Mtn Dew Amp Game Fuel, Mattel, Hasbro, Adobe, Too Faced Cosmetics, and more. The 2019 Industry Track will also celebrate innovation for startups building creative new solutions through the new Innovation Showcase. This program will gift a small demonstration area to 12 worthy startups, (which are less than 4 years old and have taken in less than 6MM in investment money), building leading-edge products to support the online video ecosystem, including creators, media companies, and other members of the ecosystem. For each selected company (to be announced on May 21), VidCon will provide a two-person demonstration area adjacent to the Industry Lounge on VidCon’s Industry Track.

Previously announced during April’s Digital NewFront, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) will host the IAB Brand Storytellers summit on Friday, July 12th at VidCon US. The programming block will feature a keynote from IAB’s CEO Randall Rothenberg among other content focusing on building brands in the online video space, brand safety, compliance, working with digital talent and more. Additional speakers include executives from the FTC, Select Management Group and top digital creators LaurDIY and Rosanna Pansino.

Also presented on the Industry Track will be the 6 Minute Case Studies, an hour-long collection of the 8 best-in-class case studies from top brands and agencies. Curated by the VidCon Advisory board and hosted by Gabe Gordon, Cofounder of Reach Agency, submissions are open through May 21.  

In the last year alone, VidCon welcomed more than 100,000 fans, creators and industry executives across events in the U.S., Europe and Australia. In February 2019, VidCon marked its latest expansion in global events by hosting the first VidCon London at London ExCel.
