Deal Delivers Live and On-Demand Content to Boost Mobile’s No-Contract Smartphones

Emeryville, CA(18 Jun 2015)

MobiTV, a global leader in enabling delivery of live and on-demand multi-screen TV services, today announced the launch of prepaid mobile entertainment across screens in the U.S. through a new deal with Boost Mobile. Rolling out nationwide, the new venture represents the first prepaid partner for MobiTV and the first Boost-branded video service.  The service includes a robust offering of live sports and a rich Hispanic programming lineup.

“Being selected by one of America’s top prepaid carriers showcases the strength of our technology platform, as well as the continued demand for a flexible and reliable platform capable of delivering TV content anytime and in any place,” said Charlie Nooney, CEO and Chairman of MobiTV. “As the mobile video market expands to new audiences, the Boost Mobile deal provides an opportunity to increase revenue streams while offering customers simple service add-ons and enhanced plans.”

MobiTV’s multiscreen service platform, which currently supports seamless billing integration with all U.S. Tier 1 wireless operators, also enables the deployment of high-quality video via a prepaid billing model. As part of the deal, MobiTV will offer robust content delivery including live and on-demand video subscription packages and access to coverage of major live sporting events.

“Over the past few years there has been a growth of TV consumption through computers, tablets and smartphones especially sports making this the perfect opportunity to launch a product like boostTV.” said Dow Draper, president of Boost Mobile and Sprint Prepaid. “We look forward to working with MobiTV to bring instant access to live and on-demand content, particularly around can’t-miss, large-scale sporting events.”
