Metus INGEST Now With Apple ProRes 422 Support

Metus INGEST is the essential desktop multimedia capture, transcoding, and streaming software and has announced support for ProRes in its multi-stream capture and transcoding software. A Windows tool, Metus INGEST now enables video operators to record up to 4 channels* of full quality Apple ProRes streams while simultaneously creating proxy files.

“With this announcement, Metus will greatly accelerate Apple-based post production and archiving workflows,” said Mustafa Yilmaz, Managing Director of Metus. “Clips can be edited directly in Final Cut Pro X or swiftly archived for fast retrieval and re-purposing.”Supported ProRes formats include ProRes 422, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 LT, and ProRes 422 Proxy.

Metus INGEST and Metus MAM products offer ProRes video transcoding in Windows-based server environments. This support enables seamless integration with Final Cut Pro X workflows, grading suites and even iTunes distribution. Metus INGEST with Apple ProRes support is available for existing users and new customers. It works with the version of Metus INGEST 4.4.0.0
