Inmobly Helps Mid-Sized Media Companies Deliver Over-the-Top Video Services to Meet Fast-Changing Consumer Consumption Demands

OTT Solution Provider Appoints Former Disney Exec as New CEO and Wins Major Central American Broadcaster

Columbus, OH(12 Sep 2018)

Consumer media consumption habits have changed drastically – a recent report shows the number of households that use only streaming services has tripled since 2013 with over 14 million households receiving all of their content via over-the-top streaming services, according to the Video Advertising Bureau. As a result, Over-the-Top (OTT) solutions that deliver film and TV content via the Internet are playing a larger role in the media landscape. That is why today, Inmobly, launched the first artificial intelligence (AI) based end-to-end solution that helps independent broadcasters, regional cable operators and content publishers drive new revenue opportunities with direct to consumer video services. By integrating next-generation AI technology into its OTT solution, Inmobly enables operators to cost effectively deliver ad and subscription based video services personalized to the individual viewer.

“Our patented AI technology lowers service delivery and platform costs, while helping our customers maintain a premium experience for their users,” said Richard Cohen, CEO of Inmobly. “With minimum configuration or set up costs, we are able to deliver a multi-screen full featured OTT service within 90 days, which is a game-changer for media companies and the customers they serve.”

Cohen was recently appointed as Inmobly’s CEO to take the company into its next phase of growth. He previously served as the EVP of Home Entertainment for Disney and was also President of Home Entertainment for MGM.

With this hire, Inmobly Founder Hesham Elgamal is now focusing on research and development as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, while Richard Johnson joins the team as Chief Commercial Officer. Johnson is the former head of all media accounts in the Americas for Kaltura, the leading online video platform. Johnson brings over 15 years experience developing OTT initiatives.

Under the company’s new leadership team, Inmobly recently signed on to support Teletica, the largest and first television broadcaster in Costa Rica.

“After engaging with Inmobly, we were able to launch seamlessly within 90 days and just in time to support coverage of the FIFA 2018 World Cup,” said Rene Picado, senior executive of Teletica. “With help from Inmobly’s innovative platform, we drove 180,000 registrations with 50,000 conversions to paid subscriptions. The value of the insights-based offering is clear and because we’re able to better understand our viewers, we can deliver a more robust and meaningful video experience.”

Teletica is among several leading media providers now working with Inmobly. For more information about the approach and solution, visit http://www.inmobly.com/.
