Discover Video, LLC  (www.discovervideo.com), a leader in video streaming and conferencing products and solutions, today announced at Infocomm 2011 live and on-demand video streaming delivery to the popular Roku set top box.  Discover Video customers may now elect to show their live video on the Roku boxes already in consumer's homes, and organizations can now use the inexpensive Roku box to display both live and on-demand video in their enterprises.

The Discover Video Roku channel allows customers to password-protect their content, making it easy to limit access to their streams.  Thanks to the Discover Video Transcoder (DVT) and the Discover Video Multimedia Encoder (DVME), customer can stream live MPEG-2, Windows Media, or Flash and view the live streams on the Roku box.  Customers may also instantly convert their existing video file content to H.264 and automatically upload it for instant Video on Demand viewing.

"Customers want choices", said Rich Mavrogeanes, Discover Video president and founder.  "With the Discover Video Roku channel, we can now offer our customers ubiquitous viewing, from desktop to mobile to conventional TVs".

Customers with Roku devices can select the Discover Video channel, then navigate to their particular channel.  From there, they can select the customer's live video or select recorded video content. The Discover Video Roku channel eliminates the need for customers to engineer their own channel, and is offered as a free option for Discover Video customers.
