Azuki Systems and ARRIS Group Help Service Providers Capitalize on TV Everywhere

Solution enables easy deployment, management and monetization of multi-screen, on-demand video

ACTON, Mass. and SUWANEE, Ga.(22 May 2012)

Azuki Systems and ARRIS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRS) today announced a collaboration via a pre-integrated video solution designed to help service providers quickly and cost-effectively deploy on-premise, multi-screen video services to their subscribers.

This collaboration provides a full integration of the Azuki Media Platform to deliver managed and optimized over-the-top (OTT) video to any screen over any network, and the ARRIS ConvergeMedia Management Suite (CMM) software to enable flexible management of on-demand content, assets, billing and workflow. The combination of Azuki and ARRIS products represents a simple, seamless and ready-to-deploy TV Everywhere solution. It allows service providers to leverage first-screen, video-on-demand (VOD) assets to extend and monetize, via the ARRIS SkyVision advertising platform, multi-screen services at home, and on-the-go.

“The rapid proliferation of multi-screen devices represents a huge opportunity for service providers – but multi-screen implementations must be simple, cost-effective and fast-to-deploy,” said Neerav Shah, Vice President Advertising Solutions Group from ARRIS. “This collaboration between Azuki and ARRIS delivers all of that, and more. Azuki’s approach to TV Everywhere and its connector-based architecture augments the power of our ConvergeMedia Management Suite to reach multi-screen devices over any network, anywhere.”

Now, service providers can share entitlements and provide screen shifting from first-screen to all-screen devices inside and outside of the home. With this partnership, service providers can:

  • Expand reach to all devices and screens
  • Leverage their existing back-office infrastructure, including metadata, account information, content files, and VOD assets
  • Deliver screen shifting between all devices
  • Integrate with existing ad platforms for dynamic ad-insertion across all devices
  • Leverage a simplified and automated multi-screen workflow, which eliminates the complexity of supporting multiple devices, platforms and networks
  • Monetize multi-screen solution by leveraging existing media sales infrastructure and operations

“Until now, deploying a turnkey, integrated multi-screen video offering was complex, time consuming and very expensive,” said John Clancy, president and CEO of Azuki Systems. “By collaborating with a widely regarded leader like ARRIS to deliver this integrated solution, we’ve empowered service providers to quickly, easily and cost-effectively deploy multi-screen TV Everywhere and fully monetize this opportunity beyond limited authentication services.”
