Sharp joined Network Appliance in 1998 as manager, business development for the content delivery business unit at Network Appliance. Since then Sharp has been instrumental in bringing a benchmark process to the caching arena, developing protocols for caching, promoting the streaming media market, fostering the next generation of internet content, and developing the Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP).
