Bio
Jocelyne Attal is IBM's chief marketing executive for WebSphere, the
leading software platform for e-business. With more than 10 years of global
marketing and sales experience in the computer industry, Ms. Attal brings
leadership and a deep knowledge base to IBM's Software Group.
As Vice President of Marketing in IBM's Application & Integration
Middleware division, based in Somers, N.Y., Ms. Attal focuses on the
WebSphere e-business infrastructure platform, which includes WebSphere
Application Server, WebSphere Studio development tools, WebSphere MQ,
WebSphere Commerce, WebSphere Portal, and wireless, host access and voice
solutions.
Under Ms Attal's marketing leadership, WebSphere has become one of the most
successful and recognized business software brands. WebSphere has
experienced 11 consecutive quarters of growth, with a 50 percent sales gain
in 2001. Tens of thousands of customers worldwide rely on WebSphere to
create, deploy and integrate e-business applications.
Ms. Attal joined IBM in 1997. Before the WebSphere position, she was Vice
President of Worldwide Channel Sales and Marketing for IBM Software. During
her tenure, Ms. Attal developed and implemented marketing campaigns to
support more than 25,000 IBM, Lotus and Tivoli business partners, including
alliances with key accounts, independent software vendors and global system
integrators. Earlier, Ms. Attal was Vice President of Worldwide Netfinity
System Sales for IBM's Worldwide System Sales organization.
Ms. Attal received a Masters of Business Administration degree from the
Institut Superieur de Gestion in Paris, and is currently a member of the
World Economic Forum's Global Leaders for Tomorrow.
