Commenting on the fixed wireless network in Norway, Jeff Ross, MD of Priority Wireless, said: “Development of new technologies for fixed wireless access has given us an opportunity to use our 3.5 Ghz radio license in Norway to reach customers not covered by UPC Norway’s existing Network. Our target customer in Oslo is the small to medium size business. As we move across Norway, we will look for the best opportunities to reach customers based on UPC Norway’s presence, customer demographics and available technology.”
Commenting on the extended reach for UPC Norway, Lars Helgerud Andersen, Managing Director of UPC’s Northern Europe Region, said: “Utilising wireless technology to provide service to our customers is a core element of our growth strategy for the Scandinavian region. It is a very cost and time effective way to extend our reach to the business customer”.
In addition to Norway and Sweden, UPC through Priority Wireless is also involved in frequency allocations in France, Spain and Switzerland.
