VMIX to Deliver Online Media Services for National MS Society

Online Video and Photo Solution Designed to Motivate Volunteers and Contributors

San Jose, CA - Streaming Media West 2009 (November 17, 2009) -

San Diego, CA – November 17, 2009, (BUSINESS WIRE) – VMIX (www.vmix.com) a leading online media services provider, today announced they have signed an agreement to deliver online video and photo solutions for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Pacific South Coast Chapter’s website covering San Diego, Imperial and Orange Counties.

VMIX will work with the National MS Society to implement photo and video galleries designed to inform donors, inspire volunteers and support those living with multiple sclerosis.

“Our goal when working with non-profit organizations is to give them the media tools to engage and expand their online communities,” said VMIX President and CEO Mike Glickenhaus. “Allowing staff, volunteers and constituents to contribute their own videos and photos encourages them to get even more involved in the organization. You also build grassroots support and enthusiasm when participants can share images and footage taken at events.”

Glickenhaus added that VMIX makes it easy for non-technical staff and volunteers to collect, manage and publish their own media. “VMIX is known for its highly optimized workflow and tools like our upload forms, dynamic playlists and customizable widgets, which make it easy for groups with limited resources to manage and publish the same media set in different ways.”

Pacific South Coast Chapter President Rich Israel said the chapter is excited to be expanding the use of video and photo content on its site. “We see it as a great way to connect with our constituents. And of course, we look forward to demonstrating more effectively to sponsors and the public at large just how necessary our services are and how they can support us, in terms of time donated and money. The VMIX solution gives us greater control, flexibility and options to make our case.”

Mike Glickenhaus added that delivering services to the National MS Society falls in line with VMIX’s current growth in the non-profit sector. “We’re seeing rapid expansion and interest among non-profits and charitable organizations. They’re having to fight hard to develop and maintain supporter awareness, and nothing can deliver the visual impact of a photograph or capture attention more effectively than video.”

VMIX will showcase rich media solutions for non-profits at the Convio Summit in Austin, TX, November 17–18 (booth #8). For more information, visit http://www.vmix.com/events.php.
