In December of 2002 the US Department of Defense (DOD) approved the Smallpox Vaccination program that mandated the vaccination of response teams, hospital/clinic teams, designated forces that may be deployed or assigned overseas and other U.S. forces. As part of the training for the program the DOD was challenged with rapid deployment of information to a geographically disperse group of 20,000 military healthcare professionals including medical directors, clinical consultants, vaccination supervisors and vaccinators. In this case study presentation we will cover the audio/video streaming methods selected by the DOD for 35 hours of global healthcare training for the Smallpox Vaccination program.
