The Windows Media Technical Summit is the industry event for content producers, web professionals and product developers to get expert instruction in Windows Media Technologies. Content producers in media companies and corporate environments will come away with new knowledge about media encoding, synchronized presentations, delivering over LAN and broadband networks to devices, TVs and PCs, creating secure content, customizing the Windows Media Player and more. Software developers and OEMs will learn crucial techniques and best practices for developing the Windows Media-compatible tools and devices.

Four tracks and nearly 20 sessions over 2 days will address the following topics and audiences:

Track 1
Application Development IHVs, device OEMs and application developers will learn what to consider when designing media applications and how to take advantage of the latest Windows XP Core AV technologies and the Windows Media SDK components.
Track 2
Digital Rights Management This technical track for content providers, service providers and device manufacturers will outline what it takes to build DRM support into applications and devices.
Track 3
Content Production Digital Media producers will gain crucial insight into the latest techniques for creating Windows Media-based audio and video for the Web and then integrating that content into Web pages. Both introductory and advanced sessions will be offered.
Track 4
Hosting and Delivery IT professionals and Webmasters will acquire the knowledge necessary for hosting and delivering Windows Media based content over corporate intranets, content distribution networks and broadband infrastructures. Speakers will focus on integrated systems, live broadcast solutions, network and content management, as well as advertising solutions.
