Join us during a FREE workshop hosted by Amazon Web Services, Adobe and Sorenson Media as we walk through step-by-step demonstrations that take the difficulty out of encoding, managing, publishing and delivering your online videos. This workshop will explain how to capture, encode, store, publish, transcode and deliver your video's "in the cloud". In addition to covering powerful new features of Amazon Web Services CloudFront CDN and Streaming web services, you will also learn about Sorenson Squeeze and Sorenson 360 new features as well as CloudFront and Sorenson integration capabilities with Adobe's Open Source Media Framework - (NOTE - Each attendee will receive $25.00 in Amazon Web Services usage credit via email after the event and a $50 usage voucher from Sorenson for Sorenson 360 service)
Tal Saraf, General Manager, Amazon Web Services

Tal Saraf is the General Manager of Amazon CloudFront, the pay-as-go content distribution service from Amazon Web Services. In this role, Tal is responsible for the overall development, management and product direction of the CloudFront business.

Prior to joining Amazon, he held a variety of technical leadership roles over sixteen years with the Microsoft Corporation, working on and releasing products and services including Speech Server, MyMSN, Server and Desktop ActiveSync, TaxSaver and Internet Explorer. He was a managing consultant for a practice office of Microsoft Consulting Services focused on ASPs and Telco companies.

A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic, he holds a B.S. in Computer and Systems Engineering as well as an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from New York University - Stern Business School.

Jens Loeffler, Senior Technical Evangelist, Strategic Media Alliances, Adobe Systems Incorporated

Jens Loeffler is senior technical evangelist in the Strategic Alliances team at Adobe Systems Incorporated, responsible for driving awareness, adoption, and loyalty of Adobe Dynamic Media products and services.

In his role, he leverages his technical background in streaming solutions and business leadership to develop strategic initiatives to expand the partner ecosystem that support streaming media solutions at Adobe. He also provides consultative leadership for technical and sales activities and supports the core product management and marketing team.

Having a sophisticated understanding of the Flash platform and strategy as well as broad engineering, multimedia and visual skills, Loeffler is a passionate Flash and Flash Media Server expert. He has been working with Flash and related Adobe products since 1999 and has received several industry awards for his work. Prior to joining Adobe, Loeffler worked as a senior Flash developer for R/GA. In earlier roles, Loeffler was a senior engineer, tech lead at Creative Bubble and an executive media producer at Effekt-Etage, Germany.

Loeffler is an accomplished presenter, having spoken at such industry events as Streaming Media East, FitC, and Flashbelt.

In addition to holding a degree in media and computer science from the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck, Germany, Loeffler is also a published author and the founder of a popular Flash Video related weblog.

David Dudas, VP Product Management, Sorenson Media

As the vice president of product management, Dudas is responsible for defining and executing the online and desktop product strategies. He has more than 15 years experience developing consumer and enterprise product lines, including expertise in hosted digital media platforms and software-as-a-service. Prior to Sorenson Media, Dudas was co-founder and CTO at Eyespot, a cutting-edge technology startup that launched the world's first Web-browser-based video editing application in 2005. Under his leadership, the company filed for five patents and was granted numerous industry awards for innovation and usability. Previously, he was director of engineering at MP3.com, where his team developed the company's flagship product and helped build the company into the leading digital media service provider of its time. He has also held management positions at Universal Music Group and DivX, and holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Michigan State University.

Coby Rich, Marketing and Events Director, Sorenson Media

As Marketing & Events Director, Rich oversees the video production, advertising, marketing at all trade shows and events for Sorenson Media. Possessing a deep background in video editing, Rich loves to dig far into the nuts and bolts of encoding to get the best quality video possible. Previously, Rich worked in various marketing roles for companies such as LoveSac, SingleHanded and Rhodes International. Rich holds an MBA from Michigan State University and a BS in Public Relations from the University of Utah.
