Ben Waggoner Digital is a compressed video consulting, training and encoding company that advises clients on compression technology, automation and integration issues. Ben Waggoner, principal, is an expert in video compression technologies and workflows. Prior to establishing his own firm, Waggoner served as the Director of Consulting Services for Media 100 and Terran Interactive, and as the Chief Technologist and founder of Journeyman Digital. Waggoner is a contributing editor for DV Magazine covering compression and other topics; his “Great Compression for Digital Video: Power Tips, Techniques and Common Sense” was published in August 2002 by CMP books. Waggoner also teaches a video compression class each summer at Stanford University through the Academy for New Media.
