Patrick Gauthier has more than 20 years of global sales, product development, product marketing, and strategic planning experience in the payment services, smart card technology and semiconductor equipment industries.

Prior to joining ZillionTV, Patrick spent ten years in senior leadership roles at Visa where he most recently managed corporate venture investments.

Previously, Patrick was senior vice president of Visa International's Innovation group, managing multiple strategic innovation initiatives in key disruptive areas including mobile payments, identity and authentication, and data security.

Patrick was also senior vice president of emerging products development for Visa.  In this position, he rolled out major programs in the U.S. in the area of loyalty as well as contactless payments with strategic partners including Target and Chase.  Patrick also managed key technology partnerships and intellectual property activities.

Patrick started at Visa as vice president of smart card products, responsible for developing the "smart Visa" product platform, an end-to-end solution for secure payment, Internet authentication and electronic rewards.

Patrick has served on the Board of a number of industry organizations - such as the Smart Car dAlliances - and various global, venture-backed companies including Inside Contactless, mTLD and mFormation.

Patrick holds a master's degree in Engineering (with an emphasis in Telecommunications and Computer Science) from the Institut national des Télécommunications in Paris, France.  Residing in Mountain View, California with his wife and three children, Patrick enjoys watching British mystery and comedy shows, classic thrillers and any form of science fiction.
