Streaming media has brought me back to the reason I got into television more than 30 years ago. It offers a method of reaching niche markets with solid content and entertainment plus it offers a true multi-media environment in which to work. Starting with my work at the Berkeley Multimedia Research Center under Prof. Lawrence Rowe, I have been developing new ways to utilize video for content on the internet. Our major project was the "lecture browser" and its playback on demand function where a student can see multiple streams of information including video, power point, and transcirption text all time stamped for later retrieval. From there I worked with two America's Cup teams on providing stories of individual team members contributions as part of their website outreach. Finally, as Director of Video Operations, I developed and oversaw the construction of Red Zeppelin's studio and post production facillity in San Francisco. This turnkey streaming video provider to small to medium size regional companies pioneered in the area of low cost high production value web video presentations. I developed the production process flow that made that company mission possible.
