Howard Manus is the Vice President of Operations for BusinessWeek Online, a position he assumed in December 2000. Mr. Manus oversees several areas for the web site including ad operations and marketing. Previously, he was the Director of Technology Sales for BusinessWeek, where he was responsible for developing revenue opportunities with technology clients, which led to the creation of BusinessWeek e.biz. He helped BusinessWeek Online achieve tremendous revenue growth and built the online sales staff. In that role, he was also responsible for overseeing online advertising sales efforts. As the Director of Technology Sales, Mr. Manus won The McGraw-Hill Companies 1999 Excellence in Management award for his work on BusinessWeek e.biz. Mr. Manus also served as a Group Manager in BusinessWeek’s marketing services department.
Before joining BusinessWeek in 1993 as a Promotion Manager in the marketing department, Mr. Manus held marketing positions at Newsweek, The National Sports Daily and Branham Newspaper Sales.
He graduated from Franklin Marshall College and earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
