Tom is the Senior Producer for the Presentations Technologies & Services Group at the University of Cincinnati. PTSG is a unit of Instructional & Research Computing in UC's Office for Information Technologies (UCit). He came to UC in 1997 as a faculty member in the Electronic Media Division of the College-Conservatory of Music where he helped begin the UC Streaming Media Project in 1999. He joined UCit fulltime in 2000 as Project Director.

In 2003 the Project was made a formal part of UCit as PTSG to better reflect its role in the university community. PTSG serves as a digital media resource for the campus community, assisting it to prepare and present technologically intensive presentations including webcasting and videoconferencing. Prior to joining UC, he held faculty positions at Temple University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
