On May 3 2001 the streaming media industry will converge on Asia to discuss the Asian/Pacific market, and Hong Kong is the location of choice. Streaming Media Asia is debuting in Hong Kong, which has been chosen for its position as an international center for commerce, trade, finance, business, transport and tourism. Added to this is its location at the center of rapidly growing East Asia with excellent connections to the rest of the world through the state of the art Hong Kong International Airport at Chek Lap Kok.

The world class Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre has been selected for Streaming Media Asia 2001. The unique, purpose built facilities are right in the heart of the bustling Wanchai district - the business center of Hong Kong. Overlooking famed Victoria Harbour, the Centre is conveniently linked by covered walkways to adjacent luxury hotels, including the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel. Also close are the MTR -Hong Kong's modern subway system - the airport bus, city buses and ferries, banking, the main post office, and all the shopping and entertainment that Hong Kong is famous for.
