ETVcentre, a leading independent cross-platform and TV production company, has agreed an international format distribution deal with Distraction Formats for ETVcentre’s Dinnerparty.tv interactive TV and web show.

The Dinnerparty.tv concept, the original idea of writer and actress Sadie Kaye, is based around a group of 24 comical characters, seven of which are voted for by viewers in a community driven popularity contest. The dinner is then filmed and broadcast via one or more platforms.

'Dinnerparty.tv is cross platform interactive entertainment at its most intriguing. We are now in a strong position to launch the format to the market,' commented John Gough, Director of Development at Distraction Formats.

'Dinnerparty.tv started life as a web-based streaming entertainment show, which quickly built an impressive audience across many countries and despite language barriers. We’ve decided to extend this already strong format across platforms, using our traditional TV production skills and knowledge of new technologies,' said Andy Bell, managing director of ETVcentre.

With the onset of exciting entertainment concepts on the web that can generate revenue, Dinnerparty.tv also offers broadcasters or webcasters revenue potential via subscription, sponsorship deals, paid for product placements, merchandising, e-commerce and advertising.
