Arbitron Releases December Webcasting Ratings

NetRadio and Live365 Top the Chart.

Arbitron announced its December Webcast Network Ratings which include five new webcast networks in the top 25. NetRadio and Live365 topped the chart with the most listeners.

The newcomers to the top 25 for aggregate tuning hours (ATH) — the total sum of hours that listeners tune to a given station — in the December Webcast Network Ratings were: Cablemusic Networks, Beethoven.com, Entercom, MEDIAmazing and Clear Channel Communications.

Among the newcomers, two ranked among the top 10: Cablemusic Networks (www.cablemusic.com), and Beethoven.com (www.beethoven.com).

NetRadio (www.netradio.com), an Internet-only aggregator of online audio streamed by Akamai and iBEAM Broadcasting, maintained its number one spot with more than 2.1 million ATH. Live365 (www.live365.com), a leading Internet radio provider that enables consumers, terrestrial radio stations and organizations to create their own radio stations or listen to thousands of stations created by others, has climbed to the number two spot with more than 1.7 million ATH.

The top 10 was rounded out by GlobalMedia in third, ABC Radio Networks in fourth, BroadcastAMERICA in fifth, Cablemusic Networks in sixth, Beethoven.com in seventh, Enigma Digital in eight, DiscJockey.com in ninth and Corus Entertainment in the tenth slot.
