V-Control Pro is an iPad app for wi-fi control of top audio and video media applications on Mac and Windows and includes dedicated control skins for Audition, Cubase, Digital Performer, Final Cut Pro 7, Live, Logic Pro, MIO Console, Pro Tools, Media Composer, Reaper, Reason, Studio One, SONAR, and Tracktion.

With Media Composer and Final Cut Pro 7 support, V-Control Pro is fast becoming the number one controller for video edit applications providing 8 bankable faders, pans, transport controls and sets of dedicated keys for repetitive edit commands specifically tailored to each app, to help speed up and enhance the edit process. Digital Performer and Adobe Audition connectivity now brings the total of DAW applications supported up to 12, each with a control skin specifically designed to get the most out of that application.

Version 1.6 also includes a new set of high-resolution skins to match the new iPad 3 Retina Display which supports a massive 2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch. The previous iPad supported 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch so this is a 4x increase in resolution. Each DAW and Video edit app supported will have a redesigned skin to take advantage of the stunning new iPad display, earlier iPads will display a lower-res version of the new skins. A new MIDI driver improves performance and stability on Windows systems.

Founder, Paul Neyrinck, is dedicated to enhancing app support for V-Control Pro, “It is very important I think to continually add to V-Control’s growing list of control skins, allowing a wider group of musicians, engineers and editors to take advantage of the powerful control capabilities that V-Control offers. Media Composer support confirms our commitment to video editors and Digital Performer and the Adobe Audition are two of the top audio apps out there so this is an important release”.

V-Control Pro can control a host of media applications on Macs or PCs from the iPad and is available for $49.99 from the Apple App Store. Version 1.6 is a free upgrade for existing users. Neyrinck’s YouTube channel features videos showing the V-Control iPad application with several top media applications.
