Together, they represent a leap forward in file capacity and high data rate throughput that preserve all the quality of video assets.

LTS-70 LTO Server

With the rapid acceptance of 4K and the advent of LTO as the editing backup and archiving medium of choice, the industry requires a server that operates to the latest LTO-7 tape standard. FOR-A's LTS-70 is the company’s newest generation server. It allows LTO tape files to be read and written, with backwards compatibility on the network via FTP. It accepts high-speed interfaces, such as 10G Ethernet or USB 3.1, and can throughput large amounts of data including 4K video. Capable of simultaneously writing to both LTO and hard disk drive, the server may also be scaled up with a tape autoloader to provide system operation.

The LTO-7 stores up to 6 TB of video, audio and data when using uncompressed files. The LTS-70 provides broad support of a variety of codecs and formats, and automatically generates and manages thumbnails, proxy video and metadata of the files saved. The server may be ordered with integrated MAM functionality for browser-based access from computers on a local network.

LTR-200HS7 Multi-Codec Archiving Recorder

The LTR-200HS7 stand-alone video recorder stands ready to redefine media archive workflows, with video input, encoding, backup/archiving to LTO tape, and video output in a single archive recorder unit. The multi-format device comes with an LTO-7 drive boasting a massive Terabyte LTFS-based recording capability, allowing it to be used in archiving or exchange of recorded material or programs. Highlights include HD/SD-SDI input/output, broadcast-quality codecs, and MXF wrapping and unwrapping.
