Epiphan Video, a leader in professional audiovisual capture, recording, and streaming products, is revealing the exciting news at IBC 2018 that they’ve opened up the Epiphan Video Webcaster X2™ API for third-party applications to integrate with Epiphan’s hugely popular social media streaming video encoder.
Webcaster X2 is a hardware encoder designed to make live streaming easy. Popular social media platforms already integrated with Webcaster X2 include Facebook Live, YouTube, and Twitch. Users simply connect an HDMI™ source, pair their social media account, and initiate their stream with the press of a button. And now with an open API, the sky’s the limit as to the number of third-party apps that can be used with Webcaster X2.
In fact, we’re excited to announce that Switchboard Live, Blue Frame Technology, and Babyflix are the first to integrate Webcaster X2 to their platforms using the API.Rudiger J.
