AmberFin releases iCR Version 4.6

Latest upgrades to AmberFin iCR software adds content protection watermarking and live in and out capture with Transcode during ingest
London(8/6/2009) -

AmberFin today announced the release of Version 4.6 for its award winning iCR ingest, Transcode and automatic QC software.
AmberFin offers best-in-class image quality for HD/SD ingest, video conversion and transcoding using its multiple Emmy award-winning image processing technology. AmberFin’s unique integrated automatic quality control helps users get work done right first time. Extensive third party integration possibilities and user programmable tools deliver efficient and cost effective workflow for anyone distributing media on multiple revenue-generating platforms.
iCR Version 4.6 introduces major enhancements, including:

Compression pre processing: new tools for maximising image quality.
Motion compensated frame rate conversion: ultra high quality SD standards conversion.
Live in and out capture: for scheduling recordings.
Transcode during ingest: delivers major time savings.
Two Pass VC-1, WM9 and H.264: intelligent image optimisation.
Content protection: Add optional watermarks during transcoding using integrated Civolutions tools.

Many new codecs and wrappers have been added, including native support for Avid DNxHD and for Apple Final Cut Pro QuickTime uncompressed. Other codec improvements include Dolby D and extended support of native P2, XDCAM and Avid Op Atom MXF.
