Soulja Boy and Boyce Avenue to Perform at the 3rd Annual Streamy Awards

(DCP) and Tubefilter announced today that rapper Soulja Boy and rock band Boyce Avenue will perform at the 3rd Annual Streamy Awards, honoring excellence in original online video programming and those who create it.  The 3rd Annual Streamy Awards Presented by Coca-Cola will be streamed live on February 17, 2013 at 6 p.m. EST / 3 p.m. PST from the Hollywood Palladium. 

The Award show will also feature collaborative performances by Vanilla Ice, Chester See, DeStorm, Epic Rap Battles and Mike Tompkins, as well as Shontelle, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Sam Tsui, Savannah Outen and Lisa Lavie. Announced celebrities slated to present at the 3rd Annual Streamy Awards include George Takei, iJustine, Lance Bass, Shane Dawson, Larry King, Shira Lazar , Vanessa Marano, MysteryGuitarMan, Ty Pennington, Pauley Perrette, Charo, Jackson Rathbone, Shay Carl, Eden Sher, the cast of SourceFed, and Kirsten Vangsness. More celebrity presenters will be announced next week.

Platinum selling artist, DeAndre Cortez Way better known as Soulja Boy is a popular, Grammy nominated rapper with his hugely successful single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100.  The single, initially self-published on the internet, rose to become a number one hit in the US for seven weeks.  Soulja Boy was listed as #18 on Forbes list of Hip-Hop cash kings.  He has released one independent and three studio albums, including his debut studio album “Souljaboytellem.com” that was certified platinum by RIAA.  He has also founded his own record label, Stacks on Deck Entertainment with another highly anticapted album entitled “Promise” slated to release in 2013.

Boyce Avenue, a Florida-based band popular for their acoustic roots and melodic rock sound is  comprised of brothers Daniel Manzano, Fabian Manzano and Alejandro Manzano.  The band releases music on its own 3 Peace Records label, including the full length album "All We Have Left", and has sold over 150,000 albums, 3,000,000 individual tracks and 30 million paid streams worldwide. The band has also toured the world extensively, most recently selling over 250,000 tickets on their last international headlining tour. Boyce Avenue is also well known for their massive social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and especially YouTube where they are among the top musicians worldwide with over 2,250,000 subscribers and 850,000,000 views to date. Boyce Avenue is currently writing and recording songs for their second full-length album which is expected to be released sometime in 2013.
