Team Coco Partners with Rdio in New Mixtape Series Curated by Celebrity Guest DJs

Conan O’Brien Sweats to the Music on Inaugural Mixtape Playlist

San Francisco, CA(27 Mar 2012)

Premier digital music service Rdio (www.rdio.com), started by the creators of Skype, has partnered with Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco (www.teamcoco.com) to publish and syndicate the first-ever weekly Mixtape Series, featuring curated music playlists from Conan O’Brien, celebrity guests on TBS’ “CONAN” as well as show regulars such as Andy Richter and Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band. The inaugural playlist launches today, curated by Conan O’Brien himself and features his favorite workout tunes. New Mixtape playlists will be available weekly on Team Coco (http://www.teamcoco.com/mixtape).

Team Coco now joins a growing list of Rdio Influencers, a cross-section of artists, critics, record labels and brands, who are featured in Rdio’s popular “People To Follow” section. Rdio recommendations are showcased to the entire Rdio user base, and as the most visible Rdio users, have the most powerful and influential  impact on Rdio’s growing global community. Alongside Team Coco, other notable influencers include artists Of Montreal and Jake Shears (of the Scissor Sisters), music media outlets SPIN and Paste, and alongside record labels Sub Pop and 4AD Records. Brand influencers include Free People and InCase.

Conan O’Brien has established his reputation as a music influencer by the talented and buzzworthy musical acts that the team books to play on TBS’ “CONAN.” Rdio’s Team Coco Mixtape Series provides Conan, along with his team and celebrity guests, the opportunity to extend their influence beyond the show and keep engaging with fans through music on Rdio’s platform.

“Adding Team Coco to our list of Influencers is really exciting for us,” said Drew Larner, CEO, Rdio. “Conan O’Brien is a passionate music fan who exposes his fans to new music on his show and website every day. And because Rdio is about discovering and sharing music with others, this partnership makes perfect sense. We are thrilled to see what Team Coco is listening to and sharing with fans.”

Fans can follow Team Coco’s official Rdio Influencer profile (www.rdio.com/people/teamcoco) for the entire collection of playlists. Weekly playlists will be promoted on Rdio’s social media channels and Team Coco’s FacebookTwitter, as well as archived at www.TeamCoco.com/mixtape.
