Nova Communications Ltd. (OTCBB:NCVM - news), announced that TEC-Networks, a communications solutions provider to small, medium and large corporate clients, majority owned by NOVA, has launched its Nova NetMedia Streaming Video Email product.
Nova NetMedia is a complete streaming, audio, video and text Web-based e-mail messaging platform. The product streams video and audio e-mail directly into the recipients' e-mail boxes without requiring the installation of a media player or additional software. Streaming technology means the audio and/or video file will start playing as soon as the recipient clicks a hyperlink contained within the e-mail.
"According to a March 2001 report by the Aberdeen Group, the digital content distribution market will grow from $1.33 billion in 2000 to $5.95 billion in 2005. This projection is supported by a new Jupiter MediaMetrix study that states corporations will spend dramatically higher amounts on streaming video in the next four years as the number of companies that use the technology expands from 21,000 to 225,000,'' said Ken Owen, CEO of TEC-Networks.
"We recognize that streaming video content is a critical part of the overall IT solution we offer our clients. Applying these technologies allows TEC-Networks to offer unique additional and peripheral business enterprise solutions to its new clients as to its existing base of over 5,000 corporate clients,'' said Owen.
