T-Mobile Extends Mobile TV Service And Launches Two New TV Channels

Bonn, Germany(15 Dec 2005)

T-Mobile Deutschland is offering its customers a wide range of mobile TV offers: fans of the popular German TV drama Verliebt in Berlin (In Love in Berlin) can now watch their favorite series around the clock on UMTS cell phones. The real attraction: with T-Mobile you can watch the day?s episode from midday as a preview before it is shown that evening. Another cutting-edge feature is Wetter.com mobile TV. The weather forecasts on the new mobile TV channel are updated several times a day. In addition to forecasts, the channel also features weather shows, local weather and sports weather. As with T-Mobile?s other mobile TV channels, Verliebt in Berlin mobile TV and Wetter.com mobile TV are available at no charge until March 31, 2006.

In addition to the two new channels, T-Mobile currently offers six others around the clock for UMTS phones: n-tv LIVE TV, DSF mobile TV, CINEMA TV, Best of Comedy TV, ProSieben mobile TV and Sat.1 mobile TV. n-tv LIVE TV broadcasts the leading news channel?s original program and keeps users fully informed of the latest developments in politics and business. Reports on the Bundesliga, the UEFA Champions League, cycling and other sports reports, as well as the popular DSF football programs "Bundesliga Aktuell? and "Doppelpass ? Die Krombacher Runde? are available on DSF mobile TV. CINEMA TV features the latest movie trailers, the film tip of the week and recommended DVDs. Best of Comedy TV will get you laughing with formats like "Tramitz and Friends? and "Schillerstra?e?. ProSieben mobile TV and Sat.1 mobile TV give T-Mobile customers the chance to watch TV highlights shown by the two channels, such as "Galileo?, "Big City Fever?, "Edel & Stark? and "Blitz", when on the move.

T-Mobile?s "Try It & See" offer for fans of mobile TV: all mobile TV channels are available for free until March 31, 2006 ? even data transfer costs for mobile TV will not be charged. Only the cost of browsing to the channel under the customer?s regular rate plan is billed. Customers can find the TV channels in t-zones, T-Mobile?s mobile multimedia portal, under the menu option "TV & Video?. The mobile TV service can be used on all T-Mobile UMTS phones, for example the LG U8290, the Samsung SGH-ZM60, the Nokia 6680 and the brand new SonyEricsson K608i and Nokia N70 devices. Images and sound are streamed via the T-Mobile UMTS network, which means that time-consuming buffering of data on phones is no longer necessary.
