Sherpa Digital Media Secures New Funding; Announces Plans for New State-of-the-Art Studio In New York City
Company Appoints Ben Chodor as Co-CEO and Managing Director to Drive Forward its Continued Domestic and International Expansion

Today, Sherpa Digital Media announced that is has closed an additional round of funding led by Robert Spass, Founder and Managing Partner of New York-based Capital Z Partners. Investors also include former Charles Schwab President Timothy McCarthy and Ben Chodor, former founder and CEO of Stream57. Mr. Chodor joins Sherpa Digital Media as co-CEO and Managing Director.
Upon closing this new round, the company plans to expand operations in the US and internationally, starting with the opening of a new studio in New York City, an expanded San Francisco office and a satellite studio in London.
Sherpa Digital Media will grow its team in San Francisco and New York. The expanded team will focus on developing innovative solutions to help brands navigate the changing digital media landscape. Brands currently use Sherpa Digital Media for strategic video communications counsel and the ability to tap into high quality live and on-demand digital media for syndication and video production.
Ben Chodor brings over 25 years of experience as a leader in the world of business video and video production. Chodor will oversee day-to-day operations of Sherpa’s Studios and Event Services division.
