San Francisco, CA(24 Jun 2005)

Sunnyside Software announces the release of RayCaster 1.5, featuring remote control capability and smooth integration of urls and slides into the live stream. To celebrate the release and as part of Sunnyside's commitment to broadening the webcast community, from now through June 30 RayCaster will be available for the special price of $199, half off the regular price of $399. The 1.5 release also can be tried via a 7-day demo downloadable from www.raycaster.com.

Improvements to RayCaster in 1.5 include:

Script Commands: RayCaster now allows for the integration of urls and other commands into the live stream, so that the user can "flip slides" during the webcast.

Script Playlists: In a big improvement over Windows Media Encoder, urls can be created and organized before the webcast. Drag and drop importing allows extant files to be quickly imported into RayCaster, from Windows Explorer; this works for local files, shared files, and ftp.

Remote control: Operators with cameras at several locations can now start and stop the stream remotely with a single command.

Deinterlaced encodes: dramatically improves the video quality of encodes larger than 320x240.

"The url script list and remote capability features were added after feedback from customers," noted CEO and chief developer David Mojdehi. "As live webcasters' requirements become more sophisticated, RayCaster will continue to be responsive to the field's needs while remaining a cost-effective solution."

RayCaster is a live audio/video encoder that employs up to five simultaneous, real-time Windows? MediaT encoders to reach the broadest audience possible with a high level of failover protection. RayCaster simultaneously archives high-quality footage to disk and provides a powerful interface to streamline the webcast process.

Designed for the serious webcaster, RayCaster's elegant interface allows instant customization of video and audio parameters of all encoders, which can be started and stopped together with one click. Until June 30, RayCaster 1.5 is available via electronic download at www.raycaster.com for $199. A physical copy can be purchased for an additional $15.00 shipping/handling fee. After June 30, the price is $399.
