NeuLion Launches Insights Report Around OTT Watch Data

Comprehensive Cross Screen Video Engagement Trends and Usage Metrics Derived from the Analysis of Aggregated Data Across the Network of NeuLion Powered OTT Services

NeuLion, Inc. (TSX:NLN), a leading technology product and service provider that specializes in the digital video broadcasting, distribution and monetization of live and on-demand content to Internet-enabled devices, today announced the launch of its NeuLion® “Watch Data” Insights report. 

As consumers connect, transact and stream OTT services powered by NeuLion, aggregate audience data or “watch data” is collected in the backend to provide meaningful insights as it relates to attracting and keeping OTT subscribers, including consumer engagement metrics, programming effectiveness, lifetime value, retention rates and the results from marketing efforts by its video rights holders.

NeuLion powered OTT services consist of many of the largest entertainment, sports, and media brands in the world including NFL Game Pass, NBA League Pass International, UFC.TV and UFC Fight Pass, Univision Now, Poker Go, BTN2Go, Sky Sports, Eleven Sports Network, English Football League and others.  Last year, streaming from these services resulted in 63,000 live events delivered, 300 live linear channels streamed every hour and consumer purchase transactions in over 180 countries and territories around the world.

Analyzing this aggregated data, the NeuLion “Watch Data” Insights Report will showcase views that demonstrate the changing nature of video consumption and how marketers can leverage opportunities for increasing lifetime value and strategies for profitable revenue growth.  

The first Insight Report is focused around device penetration and usage.  Across the NeuLion Network, the device mix over time has changed drastically towards a more even split of desktop, mobile and connected device usage and in turn demonstrates that watching content on more than one consumer device increases subscriber lifetime value by over 250%.
