Encoding.com, the world's largest video encoding service and provider of Vid.ly, the universal video platform, today announced that it is sponsoring hackday.tv, a 24-hour hackathon dedicated to showcasing innovation and creativity in the world of video. Taking place on September 10th and 11th in New York City and managed by the team from Shelby.tv, the event brings together video developers and videographers to build, demo, and promote video applications using APIs from Encoding.com, Vid.ly, Twilio, Shelby.tv, Boxee, and more. The winning team's work will be showcased on the Times Square jumbotron.
