Comedy Crew The Turkeys Arrive on My Damn Channel Comedy Network

Minneapolis comedy super-group prepares for national launch with new video distribution deal on My Damn Channel, tour

Minneapolis, Minn(27 May 2014)

Prepare your eyeballs; The Turkeys have arrived. Minneapolis-based comedy crew, The Turkeys, have been making waves since February 2012, when seasoned standup comedians Gabe Noah, Chris Maddock, KjellBjorgen, Isaac Witty, Nate Abshire, Gus Lynch and Chris Knutson along with independent filmmaker Matt Olson assembled to create a series of hilarious, edgy digital sketches unlike anything ever seen in the Minneapolis comedy community.

Individually, they’ve been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman, Conan, Last Comic Standing, Premium Blend and more. Together, they’ve created a live show that incorporates standup, video, audio and live sketches, making themselves the equivalent of a comedy boy-band super-group. This month, The Turkeys are preparing to unleash their material on a much larger audience, thanks to a new video distribution deal with My Damn Channel comedy network (www.mydamnchannel.com).

”We’ve spent the last two years of our lives building to this point, and we think that My Damn Channel is the perfect home for all of our hard work,” says Noah. “

The Turkeys channel will launch May 27 with three brand-new video sketches. The group plans to release a minimum on one new sketch every two weeks thereafter.

To celebrate their new partnership, The Turkeys are launching a series of shows in and around Minneapolis, sponsored by Prairie Vodka, giving audiences the chance to see seven headlining comedians and exclusive videos, all for the price of your average comedy club show.

”If you go to a club show, you’re going to see an emcee, a feature, and a headliner,” Noah explains. “At our show, you’re getting six headliners and one guy who really sucks at comedy, plus a bunch of video and audio sketches. It’s a pretty sweet deal.”

The tour will kick off with two shows at Comedy Corner Underground on May 30 and a special performance at Turbo Tim’s in Northeast Minneapolis on May 31, followed by The Seville Gentleman’s Club in Downtown Minneapolis June 1, and the Water Street Inn in Stillwater on June 6.
